Humble Beginnings
Serve Spokane was conceived in early 2005 when a group of people looked at the difficulties people in our community were experiencing as jobs became more scarce, the cost of living soared and families and individuals were hard-pressed to keep up financially.
Our Food Pantry and Clothing Bank combined give out more than 50,000 pounds of food and 1,500 pounds of clothing and household goods each month.
Our History
|
Since our inception we have seen thousands of our neighbors in Spokane receive a “hand up” to help them through difficult seasons - health issues, job losses – and we have also seen many of these people become volunteers and donors giving back to help others!

Making a difference |
We recognize that we can’t solve all the world’s problems but WE CAN come alongside our neighbors with practical items that make it possible for people to use money they would have spent on food and clothing and instead put it toward rent, utilities, gas for the car or a bus pass to get to work.
